Amy & Gabe [ Sunrise Engagement Session in Honey Bee Canyon]

Confession: I have a thing for sunrise sessions. I adore being up early. I love the way the desert smells when it is still dewy and fresh. I love the glow of the rising sun, that is softer, more of a rose gold in tone than the light you get in the evening. Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I proposed a sunrise session and Amy and Gabe jumped on it! We met at 6:15 in the morning at one of my favorite hiking trails, Honey Bee Canyon, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. Sun was rising in the east and the west had thick dark rain clouds approaching, so we got the best of both worlds! Cool temps and the smell of rain in the desert, with dewy morning light. It was perfect!

Amy and Gabe are just delightful together. Gabe is quick with a joke and making Amy laugh was effortless for him. Much of what was captured wasn’t coached, it was just the two of them being THEM. These are my favorite kind of sessions, when people relax, connect and we just get to capture what natural occurs between two people in love, who are vowing to be together forever.

Thank you Gabe and Amy for being adventurous with me at the crack of dawn! We can’t wait to capture your wedding in February. I know it will be filled with genuine moments just like these!
