Sabino Canyon Desert Engagement | Jordan & Stacey

Jordan and I met almost two years ago in a fitness competition. You couldn’t miss him because he was the guy cheering people on, handing out high-fives and making sure he knew everyone’s name. We usually talked about favorite hikes, places to vacation and photography, but then one day the conversation shifted to Stacey, and it hasn’t varied off topic yet. To say these two love each other feels like an understatement. As a matter of fact, as we hiked through the trails of Sabino Canyon, Jon and I lost track of the number of times, Jordan would pull Stacey close and exclaim, “My gosh, I love you!”

Their love began as friends. They would see a lot of each other because of mutual friends, and as relationships shifted and changed, they found that they didn’t see much of each other. They missed one another’s company so they reconnected and the rest is history. They share of love of the outdoors and adventuring together. They love hiking and camping, often taking vacations exploring new scenery, preferably with epic views! To propose, Jordan wrote her a book that shared their adventures together. He took her on one of their favorite hikes in Sabino Canyon, where he gave her the book with a special place in the back that had a nook for her engagement ring, which had belonged to Jordan’s mother. We returned to the proposal spot to begin their session, and ended up hiking around 3 miles through the canyon as we went. We fell in love with these two and the way that they enjoy being together; Jordan making Stacey laugh, and Stacey lighting up when he would pull her close.

Jordan and Stacey are incredibly thoughtful. Jordan carried a huge (no really, it is designed to carry scuba gear) backpack filled with water and snacks for our hike, in addition to outfit changes and everything else you take on an engagement session! It isn’t a surprise that they have found each other as both of them have careers serving others and looking after their well being. Watching them take care of each other, we could see that they each put the needs of the other first.

We can’t wait to celebrate with these lovebirds next month when they get married at one of our favorite venues, the historical Arizona Inn. I know that Jordan has been working on some special touches for the day and I am sure they will be special.

We love you guys! Thank you for such a lovely time together!

xoxo,

Amber Lea & Jon
