Friends….I am still giddy over this session from our trip last month out to Florida. I have two words for you. Spanish. Moss. Oh my heart! The beauty that comes from seeing these amazing trees just dripping from moss (I learned it was an air plant! Who knew?) that covered the grounds of the Bok Tower Gardens made my heart race the moment we set foot on the grounds. I have to thank Tiffany for finding this place. When we talked about locations, she said the moss covered trees were one of her favorite things. I had never had the chance to photograph in them so I jumped at the opportunity! The gardens and vegetation were so lush, and the tower bells would toll each half-hour creating the most peaceful environment for our session.
The Bok Tower Gardens have a unique history, and their gardens are home to over 100 different species of birds! The singing tower has live bells that are played twice a day, with recordings of the bells being played every half hour. The tower sets up on a hill (it might be the only one in Florida, haha!) and you have views from the garden overlooking Lake Wales. We will definitely go back for another visit as it was my favorite part of our time in Florida-ranking even higher than our day at the beach, and if you know me, that is saying a lot!
We loved spending time with these two, who are down right smitten with each other! Their classic and elegant style has me so excited to see what they have planned for their wedding next fall! It is going to be at one of my favorite venues, Lowes Ventanta Canyon, and coordinated by the amazing Megan Crain!
Tiffany and Jeff, we can’t wait to see you again! Thank you for spending the day with us!
xoxo,
Amber Lea & Jon
