Carleyna & Joe [Black Tie Wedding at Hacienda Del Sol]

When your groom looks like a young Robert Redford and your bride has the poise of Audry Hepburn, the result is a wedding rich in elegance and romance. Carleyna and Joe were married at the Hacienda Del Sol Resort this Saturday in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. The deep reds, purples, pinks, and oranges of the florals created by Posh Petals, evoked the romance of spring and was the perfect compliment to the colorful backdrop of their courtyard ceremony.

Red with gold accents were the wedding party colors and I loved the special way those colors were incorporated throughout out the day; Carleyna’s antique garnet drop earrings from her mother to the gold chain of four-leaf clovers that had been her grandmother’s.  She even carried that red through to her stunning Badgley Mishka heels, which were the picture of sophistication.

The reception was held at at a private estate near Historic Fort Lowell. Dinner was served, lit by bistro lights over the dance floor and twinkle lights on trees surrounding the dinner tables. A dessert table filled with delicious cupcake and cookies, hand baked by the mother of the bride and Carleyna’s aunts, silver frames with family photos, and dances in remembrance of family were personal touches that honored the heritage these families represent. It was the perfect beginning to Carleyna and Joe’s start to their own legacy of love.
