She is dark chocolate and he is ice cream (always vanilla). She is classical music and he is Top 40. She likes it cool and he prefers it hot. He loves the mountains and she loves the ocean. But, she'd choose the mountains with him over the ocean alone, and he almost always lets her choose the radio station. She turned him into a coffee drinker and he cultivated her love of red wine. Infinitely different, yet, always better together.

Flagstaff, Arizona Wedding at Thornager’s | Tony & Stephani

We are living it up over here at the Russell’s, saying goodbye to the final days of summer. I can’t think of a better way to say farewell to long evenings, weekend BBQ, and days spent by the pool than sharing our last wedding of the spring/summer season.

We will always say yes to a Flagstaff wedding. Trees, grass, temps below 100? Sign us up! This wedding was an immediate yes for us, and not just because it was in Flagstaff! I have known Tony since we were in high school so when he shared with me about the amazing woman he was going to propose to, I was happy for my friend. After getting to know her at our wedding consult, and engagement session, I was over the moon for them both. Seeing how well they love each other made this wedding extra special for us!

Stephani worked in Flagstaff for a few years and developed a special community while she lived there. It made sense to hold their late summer wedding in a place where the temps were pleasant and she had dear friends as well. Stephani’s friend Autumn, a wedding coordinator, offered up her home for getting ready. It was filled with amazing natural light and floor to ceiling windows. Bonus, it was just a short walk from Thornager’s Wedding Center, making it the perfect location for wedding preparations. With open forest as a backyard, it also made a beautiful backdrop for their first look as well!

It is hard to find a single moment that was my favorite from their special day, but I think it might be hearing how much their friends and family love them both. We love marriage and seeing two people draw closer together for it is why we do this. Tony & Stephani, I know God has big plans for your family. We are honored to have been there on day one of your new life together!
