Tempe Mission Palms Wedding – Matt & Brenna’s Roof Top Celebration

I have always loved the energy that comes from being near a college campus and the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel is nestled in the middle of Arizona State University’s social hub. Within walking distance are amazing restaurants, coffee shops and all the makings for a great urban back drop. The Tempe Mission Palms has a unique wedding layout, offering a garden like ceremony space and a rooftop reception area perfect for dancing, and boy did this party dance! The joy surrounding Matt and Brenna’s wedding was infectious and I don’t think there was a single person there who didn’t grin all night long when they watched the two of them enjoying their wedding day.

We have had the pleasure of praying for Matt and Brenna as they minister to college students at the ASU campus. Seeing their love come to this place of unity brought an even greater joy to our job. The positive support and encouragement from the bridal party to the group of friends dancing in celebration, this was a time of worship, and it was beautiful.

Since Sparky’s Old Town Creamery was less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel, we made a quick stop. Brenna LOVES ice cream, so Matt took her there on their first date. It seem appropriate to grab a celebratory cone on their wedding day!

Matt and Brenna’s wedding was the third we have captured for this precious family, and being blessed to spend time with them over and over again has opened our eyes to the kind of friendships that feel like family. I have come to think of these friendships in terms of wedding tables. There is always a table set a side for those friends who have walked along side you as you parent your children. The mother’s who cared for your children like their own. The father’s who helped coach little league teams and played soccer in the street with your children. What a joy it is to see that table filled time and time again with these dear friends. I pray that as Matt and Brenna start their life together they too fill form these friendships that bless and edify their marriage.
