Christine brought Ryan out to see her hometown of Tucson earlier this month. While they were here, they planned a desert destination engagement session with me. It was a top-secret mission as they had not yet shared with their families their plan to marry. Not sharing these was a difficult task! I have known Christine for a long time. It was such a joy to see her with someone like Ryan who clearly adored her.
Christine wanted to get that quintessential Tucson vibe to their session, so we started out in downtown. We wandered around some of my favorite spots near Maynards Market and Hotel Congress. The light was just perfect, and we were able to capture that relaxed urban feel that Tucson has. Ryan loved the Tucson landscape which called for a quick jaunt to Gates Pass to finish out our time together. Tucson didn’t let us down and gave us some delicious color at sunset. Most thankfully, it was only 90 degrees, so these coastal dwellers didn’t melt from our desert heat!
My favorite moment was when I asked them how they stayed so youthful. Christine told me that she thought it was their daily Three-Phase-Morning-Snuggle. Awww! Each morning, they set the alarm for 30 minutes before they need to be up and press snooze three times. Phase one, Ryan holds her. Phase two, she rolls over and holds him. For the final phase of the morning snuggle, Christine sleeps on Ryan’s chest. I don’t know about you, but I am implementing this into my morning routine ASAP! I know these two are going to have a fantastic marriage because they have already learned to slow down and enjoy each other.
We are so excited for their San Diego wedding this fall. Their primary plan for the wedding is to have fun with the people that love them most. We know they will; they already practice the art of enjoying the moment.
