We fell in love with Gabe and Victorya while watching them together at church, so when they were interested in our photography for their Tucson wedding, we were thrilled. They opted to get married at the home of Gabe’s sister, just outside Tucson in Marana, to allow for a more intimate experience for their guests. After a week of cold windy weather, they couldn’t have ordered up a better day if they tried, with light breezes and hardly a cloud in the sky!
Their love story as been written for longer than most couples their age. Gabe first noticed Victorya when they were just 15. This girl captivated him with a kind word for everyone she met, with a magnetic energy and joyful smile. Tearfully he explained through his vows, how he was captivated still – drawn to her love for God, her family and serving those around her. In a time where most people their age are exploring their options, Gabe and Victorya set on a course of schooling and plans, designed to provide a life together. They are the picture of a love that withstands times and trends, that pursues each other even when life has them going in different directions. We shared a little bit more about their story on their engagement session blog post.
We loved sharing in this day. So many people came together to create what was truly, a spectacular DIY Tucson wedding. Bistro lights hung around corrals set the tone for their rustic and elegant reception. Family friends who created a traditional Hawaiian BBQ provided the catering. Another family friend created succulent and rose bouquets with blue thistle and eucalyptus accents. Victorya’s sister, Mackenzie, hand painted all of the signage for the day, and the Father of the Bride built a dance floor for the occasion. Gabe’s sister and her husband hosted the wedding at their home and Victorya’s other sister, Francesca, made their wedding cake. It was clear that these two were very loved by how many people set out to make their day perfect!
We can’t wait to see how God uses you both as you start this adventure toward forever with each other. We are praying His blessings for you!
